
According to the Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan Younis Dagha, the terrorist Qaribullah alias 'Hasan' is the former Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader of the Chilas unit.
On June 23, ten foreign trekkers and their Pakistani guide were mowed to death by gunmen in paramilitary fatigue at a base camp of Nanga Parbat, in Gilgit-Baltistan in an attack claimed by both the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Jundullah sectarian extremist group.
Earlier, gunmen dressed as paramilitary forces killed nine foreign tourists in an unprecedented attack in the Himalayas of Gilgit-Baltistan.
M Nabi alias Qari Husnain, a suspect in the murder of government officials, was also arrested.
