Welfare Of The People: Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashidi visits EOBI

EOBI Chairperson Muhammad Ayoub Shaikh welcomed the minister and presented a detailed briefing on EOBI scheme.

KARACHI: The minister of Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource Development, Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashidi, visited the Employees’ Old-age Benefits Institution (EOBI) head office in Karachi and presided over a high-level meeting. The EOBI Chairperson Muhammad Ayoub Shaikh welcomed the minister and presented a detailed briefing on EOBI scheme. Rashidi informed the meeting that their main objective should be the welfare of the poor working class, saying, “It is our basic duty to register every eligible worker under the EOBI scheme.” According to the Shaikh, the institution has so far registered 50 million employees under the EOBI Scheme.
