Imprisoned: HIV positive UTP dies at hospital
An under-trial prisoner (UTP) detected HIV/AIDS positive during investigation died on Tuesday.

An under-trial prisoner (UTP) detected HIV/AIDS positive during investigation at the central lab of the Chandka Medical Hospital, Larkana, died on Tuesday. Nazir Ahmed, son of Muharram Ali Nagraj, resident of Allah Rakhyo Junejo village in Qambar taluka was admitted in the UTP ward on May 2. Later, he was shifted to the medical unit-I where he died. He remained in central prison, Larkana, for nine years and was also suffering from disseminated tuberculosis. He had been facing murder charges under FIR No. 44/2004 of Drigh police station in Qambar-Shahdadkot district under section 302. His case had been pending in court since 2004.
