Case sought for adultery, threats

Petitioner says his brother-in-law beat his sister when she tried to stop him.

LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge has sought comments from the Nishtar Colony SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking a case against his brother-in-law for alleged drunkenness and adultery.

Petitioner Tasawwar Hussain submitted that his sister and her husband of six years, Zeeshan, had two sons and a daughter. He said that Zeeshan had held a party at his home where there was alcohol. He had also invited women and had slept with them, he said.

The petitioner said that his sister had remonstrated with her husband, begging him to stay away from alcohol and other women, but he had beaten her.He said that Zeeshan again hosted a party the next week, after which his sister again asked him to desist. He said that Zeeshan then kicked her out of the house. Hussain said he had contacted Zeeshan to resolve the situation, but his brother-in-law had threatened to kill him. He said that he had tried to lodge a case, but the Nishtar Colony SHO refused. He asked the court to direct the SHO to register a case and to protect him and his family from Zeeshan.
