Addressing the media in Karachi, he said that if the federal government wants to make any efforts towards curbing terrorism, they should consider its basic parameters.
"I invented the term 'targeted' operation," said Malik, adding that an operation needs to be carried out in south Punjab and Quetta.
He asserted that there was no sectarian divide in Karachi.
"The Shia-Sunni conflict has been deliberately created," said Malik, explaining that the city was being targeted so that the entire country could be harmed.
He said that this plan was hatched by separatist forces who didn't want Balochistan to be part of the country.
Bringing his address to a close, former interior minister said that this is the time when the people should not be thinking like a Punjabi or Balochi but as a Pakistani.

For that sake you need Mussarraf to conduct several Red Star operations . Root is very deep and require help of modern technique to up root it . Drones are there to help you people . There should be no hesitation to take the help of such state of art . After all it is a qiestion of the existence of Pakistan as a sovereign nation .
what you did for 5 years?
Does not matter what anybody says there is no major political party and establishment which would target the home grown terrorists let alone their roots. These have been nurtured by us as our strategic assets and we do not want to lose them all.
Reading the comments it is evident that most are against the statement rather than our Punjabi Taliban who had endorsed the two rightwing parties in elections. The huge support for TTP among our voters shows the depth and breadth of their roots in our religious parties and masses especially in Punjab. It is not surprising that even after killing tens of thousands of innocent Pakistanis there is no dearth of support among ruling parties for these terrorists. We forget tens of thousands butchered by these terrorists but our hearts and souls ache for a foreign terrorist Afia who got an open trial.

"This is not the time to think like a Punjabi, Balochi........" I guess the X minister is saying that it was OK during his time as minister. You and all of you in power did nothing to protect those who could not protect themselves. How many shais you let die because of your political ideology.
