According to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry on Saturday evening, it condemned the strike in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan.
The statement termed the unilateral strike a “violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
“Pakistan has repeatedly emphasised the importance of bringing an immediate end to drone strikes,” it added.
The government has consistently maintained that drone strikes are counter-productive, entail loss of innocent civilian lives and have human rights and humanitarian implications. Such strikes also set dangerous precedents in the inter-state relations.
“These drone strikes have a negative impact on the mutual desire of both countries to forge a cordial and cooperative relationship and to ensure peace and stability in the region.”

Wow, Hats Off! - What a Unique thing Pakistan has done this time!
@csmann: Dear csmann, America has gone around the world for many years now, protecting the world from so called bad guys, and several million people have finished up dead in the last 13 years alone. However, I do not think you understand the gravity of the situation. Washington is not really concerned with protecting anyone from anyone. They have a system in place to pick off one country after another if they are not part of the world banking and/or US dollar system. Also, they prioritize attacking countries with valuable resources. Even Afghanistan, which on the face of it appears to be poor, has amongst other things, extremely valuable resources under the ground. Additionally, if one could remove all the strings controlling President Obama it may possible to sight his controllers who are in the background and slightly elevated in the balcony above.
@Sexton Blake: Then who is going to protect you from your murderous heroes?
@Unbelievable: Don't worry about the terrorists. President Obama has said that he is withdrawing them next year.
@csmann: Buddu drone is connected with suicide bombers. they r making bombers
The Sharamnaak act of Govt of Pakistan of only condemnation of US drone strikes
@r singh: Dear singh, You may be correct about Pakistan being a slave state, but to be absolutely correct I would have said vassal state. However, we are on the same wave length. Going a little further, it is absolutely clear that Pakistan could stop drone strikes in one day if that is what the Government wanted. We cannot blame the Americans. The fault lies entirely with Pakistan for tolerating drone attacks.
I am waiting for Zahid Hamid and Gul Gula Hamid Gul to get on their horses and save Pakistan's ghairat ...c'mon guys....U are a nuclear power ...lmao.
Solution to drone attacks hasn't changed, get rid of the terrorists and the problems solved.
I believe that the "prime minister" NS never asked Kerry to stop these strikes during his official visit to pakistan!!..
30th Aug: Sartaj Aziz says a breakthrough expected about drone strikes.
31st Aug: Drone strikes
Choice is between the drone or a suicide bomber.Pakistan has 4 less to worry about.
BTW, does allowing "safe havens" inside SOVEREIGN PAKISTAN for known terrorist groups (assets of the state?) to openly operate from as long as they agree to only attack and kill in neighboring countries also qualify as "setting dangerous precedents in the inter-state relations"??????!
what pakistan wants 1. terrorists/militants or 2. drone? select your option. if you select 2. then you can fight with terrorists/militants and if you choose option 1 then you have to surrender to terrorists/militants.
I am happy at least Pakistan got permission from US to "condemn" these attacks. Before they were not allowed to do so even.
tik tok tik tok....till next strike. Also I want to understand which base ( obviously it is inside Pakistan) US is using for the drones. Can ET provide any information.
So???
So what is Pakistan going to do to sto these drone killings? Nothing. Pakistani law makers and politicians have been bribed and bought by the US administration, in exchange for unfettered access to Pakistani sky. It clearly shows that Pakistan is not a sovereign country, and it has been castrated by the Uncle Sam. So what is the point in lodging a useless protest? For all its bravado Pakistan is a slave state of US.
@asim: because it is one years experience repeated 85 times!N
More drama from FO. A nuclear powered nation...haha..a nation of cowards. Learn from Iran north korea.
This is good .... Pakistan should continue condemning it.
Why don't Pak govt. reacts the same way when India do violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and its territory....
What is the use of condemning US drone strikes on Pakistan time and again by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Government of Pakistan when US does not want to halt the drone strikes.
Instead of living like a coward nation on the world map, it is better to shoot down US drones and Pakistan should not think to live for another day in the world.
And we would keep condemning. The only difference is that now the condemnation comes from no higher than a section officer of foreign ministry.
A big lols at these condemnations. Either do something or just don't come up with these ridiculous condemnations
What a dreadful spelling error on the Logo : MINSITRY of FOREIGN AFFAIRS! Really, ET is it you or is it them! SHAMEFUL!
condemnation speech must be copied from previous one.
"Pakistan condemns US drone strike"
hahahahaha best joke of the day ! its getting old tho
few hours ago they were 4 foreign militants and now they become 4 innocent civilian,LOL, how come pakistan fight with terrorists, better pak govt surrender to terrorist gruop to administer the country, http://dawn.com/news/1039609/us-drone-kills-four-foreign-militants-in-north-waziristan
Don't get surprised if there are drone attacks even when NS is addressing UN in September.
The adviser to the PM Mr Sirtaj Aziz's 85 years experience and special relations with the USA is of no use?
