LAHORE: Former MNA Liaqat Bhatti’s bail was set at Rs50,000 in a court hearing on Saturday, Express News reported. The hearing comes after a raid at Liaquat Bhati’s house in Johar Town in which a 13-year-old girl was found chained up and her brother was also recovered.

Bhatti's driver was also brought in front of the court on Saturday and was taken into judicial remand following the hearing. Bhatti claimed earlier that his driver was responsible for this incident.

He added that political enemies had set this up to make him appear guilty. He also said that he does not reside at the house in question and that he was not aware that the girl was being held there.

The court decided not to hold Bhatti in physical remand as the police said that further investigation was not needed in the case against him.
