The interior minister made this announcement during a session of the National Assembly.
He told the house that the said report was submitted without his approval.
Attorney-General Munir A Malik on August 29 uncovered the existence of this group in the report submitted at a hearing of the Karachi suo motu case.
Malik had filed this report in response to the Supreme Court notice to the federal government to present its stance on assisting the Sindh government in curbing unabated violence and crime in the metropolis.
The report suggested legal action against the group if and when its members are identified. “All-out efforts are required to identify the members of the Muhajir Republican Army and action taken against them under the law,” it said.
Many political parties had expressed concerns over the report and the mention of an unknown group.

Even our well read and highly placed are not mature,it is all self build hatred against MQM by all other parties is spoiling Karachi.Only maturity and selflessness will solve the problem not the army operation or by issuing millions of arm license.

He literally chose constituencies for himself! They say that even nawaz sharif is tired of him, since he has aspirations to take his place. Somebody tell chudhry saab that he is incapable and can never take our great leaders place! When PM sharif was in exile, chudhry saab was enjoying a soft house arrest in the comforts of his sprawled house in pindi. His army connections assured that.
If any one in Pakistan thinks that by these tactics they can get rid of Mahajirs, they are mistaken. Mahajirs are part of Pakistan and will be part of Pakistan for ever, till Qayamat. INSHAA Allah.

I agree. He just wants to be the prime minister, we all in the party know this. He took the ticket for so many constituencies, because he was scared of defeat. It was his ego at stake. I wonder why the sharif brothers are tolerating him!
Unless and until chaudhry nisar khan is in pmln the party would never be able to do perform or do anything for the country. He's leading us downhill. People in the party don't really like his presence either.
Unless and until Chaudry nisaar stays in my party, PML-N, we can't achieve anything! Even people inside the party have reservations against him! He generated so much negative publicity before elections.. He's only concened about his own self.. Not the party.. Not the country.. Because of his unwillingness to work for the better of our party, wev always faced losses..

The one positive development was the emergence of the PAKISTAN Tehreek e Insaaf as the no 2 Party in Karachi. Pakistan is here to stay. Us Pakistanis are tired of all your ethnic, sectarian, anti minority, divisive politics. Pakistan Zindabad

They could have very well issued a report on Indian Republic Army... Hopefully no one would have opposed it, and need not have withdr5awn the report.

Have never sympathized with mqm. But it seems like that Federal govt and Sindh govt are getting ready to go after mqm only in karachi while being soft on other criminal groups, e.g. taliban-backed groups, sectarian outfits and lyari committees. This is a recipe for further disaster.... a selective operation that targets one violent group and let other groups go scot-free (specially a known violent group like Lyari Committee), will only worsen the situation of Karachi even more. What is needed is a uniform across the board fair operation that establishes rule of law... unfortunately that won't happen under the present Sindh govt as they seem to have stakes in protecting certain groups.
I do hope the next government might solve the problem of karahi until then the people will continue to die, looted openly and will be forced to give Bhatta...... pining my hopes on next govt i.e. 2018 govt... until then rip karachi..

This is very sad to see such biased and baseless reports against a political party and group. How we can trust that operation by the forces in karachi will be impartial and equal against every culprit without anydiscrimination. This report has opened our eyes. Now we can understand what game is being played with the people of karachi.
Despite all the strong reservations which I always have with MQM, this is the first time I believe that MQM is right. I also condemn this action by Interior Ministry.

Could never imagine Ch. Nisar would end up like this. He has become a joke. He isn't any different than Rehman Malik if not worse. Imran Khan was damn right in saying, "those who couldn't change in 5 terms, won't change in 6th too". I have already lost hope in Mian Sahib's government.
