Speaking to the media on Thursday, Memon said that the list presented by MQM leader Farooq Sattar was “baseless”.
“These are allegation being leveled by MQM leaders to create hype and misguide people,” he said. “The Sindh government has no plans of arresting any lawmaker, including Farooq Sattar or Faisal Subzwari.”
Memon said that the PPP did not believe in politics of victimisation and the government would take action against criminals irrespective of their party affiliation,
Referring to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s statement, he said targeted action was being taken and it would be expanded with the help of Rangers and other law enforcement agencies.
“The police and Rangers have completed their homework. Those elements involved in Karachi violence will be dealt with an iron hand,” said the information minister.
Earlier today, MQM leader Farooq Sattar had presented a list of workers who he claimed were due to be arrested, saying that the names of assembly members including himself were on the list.

PPP will have to understand that it is no longer possible to run their oligarchy. They will have to allow devolution of power to the third tier of governance, may they want to go down the tough path or across the table. People of Karachi are more strengthened and stronger than before to fight for their rights. We in Karachi have seen enough, it was Jinnahpur before and now some republican army, another figment of imagination,
And when are you going back to London, sirji.
