Precautionary measures: Fogging to start in rural areas

Union councils have been directed to ensure cleanliness in rural areas.

ISLAMABAD: A five-day anti-dengue drive was launched in the rural areas of the capital by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) health department on Wednesday. According to ICT officials, 12 teams will take part in the campaign, headed by the district health officer. The teams would also carry out fogging and fumigation at specified places to eliminate mosquito larva and will also remove stagnant rain water. Residents have been asked to keep their surroundings clean and cover open water. Union councils have been directed to ensure cleanliness in rural areas.
