The survey will be conducted at the union council level, says Hussain.
FAISALABAD:
The Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) will conduct a survey of school dropouts as part of the chief minister’s Education Enrolment Emergency Campaign, GCUF Vice Chancellor Zakir Hussain said at the inauguration of the GCUF Emergency Enrolment Camp on Wednesday. The camp was set up in UC-196 in collaboration with an NGO. The survey will be conducted at the union council level, Hussain said, it will help the campaign reach its target of 100 per cent enrolment of out of school children. “The camp will help raise awareness regarding the importance of education,” he said, “No country can progress without universal education.” He encouraged the GCUF students deputed in the drive to help teachers return school dropouts back to their educational institutes. “Education is an engine for progress. We need to take effective steps to increase the literacy rate,” Hussain said.
