Condemnation: Protest against ‘forced closure’

Protesters demand an immediate ban of the teachers association, which they blame for spoiling the education system.

NAUDERO: On the call of’Save Education Committee, a large number of parents, civil society members and students held a protest on Tuesday in front of the main gate of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Naudero, against the forced closure of schools due to a teachers’ boycott of classes.

Members of various political parties and social welfare organisations also participated. The protesters demanded an immediate ban of the teachers association, which they blamed for spoiling the education system. For the last 15 days a boycott has been forced upon students and classrooms are locked up but the government has not taken any action, said a protester.
