Gone missing: Six people kidnapped in separate incidents

Nine-year-old girl found dead, political muharar disappears with three cousins.

Six people, including a political muharar and a nine-year old girl who was later founded dead, were kidnapped from different parts of the city, police said on Tuesday.


Nine-year old Husna was kidnapped from Gulabad, within the jurisdiction of Pahripura Police station. Her body was later found in Gharibabad.

“The girl was kidnapped and later killed. We have sent the body for postmortem and suspect she had been raped as well by the kidnappers,” said a police official.

An FIR has been registered against unidentified abductors on the complaint of the victim’s father, Umardin, a resident of Kurram Agency who is currently residing in Gulabad.

In another incident, political muharar Syed Ahmad went missing from Hayatabad along with three of his cousins. Their vehicle was later found abandoned in Shahkas, Jamrud during a large-scale search operation conducted by law enforcement agencies in Hayatabad and adjacent Khyber Agency.

According to the police, Ahmad was last seen at his cousin’s house in Phase 3, Hayatabad on Monday night when he left for dinner with some friends and three other cousins. However, he and his cousins disappeared mysteriously soon after. Police suspect it is a case of kidnapping for ransom and an FIR has been registered against unidentified culprits in Tatara Police station.

In yet another incident, Jalal Ahmad was allegedly kidnapped over a land dispute from Hazar Khwani, within the jurisdiction of Yakatoot Police station. Police registered an FIR against the accused – Hasham Ali, Nasir Ali, Quraish and Shahbaz – and started investigation.
