'Unidentified gunmen': Karachi violence claims 6 lives
Investigations are underway, say police officials.

Six people, including three political workers were killed in separate instances of violence in Karachi on Tuesday.
An alleged criminal Ramiz was shot dead while two others, Mohsin and Shoaib were wounded when two armed men on a motorcycle opened fire at them while they were sitting at Nadeem Sarwar Park in Dastagir locality, which falls under the Jauharabad police station's jurisdiction.
Police officials said that the deceased was a criminal and had been involved in a criminal case.
However, Shoaib was found to be a worker of the Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST). The police said it wasn't clear if the target was the suspected criminal or the party worker.
In another incident, an owner of a bus stand was shot dead near Manzil Pump which falls under the jurisdiction of the Shah Latif police station.
Police officials said that the deceased was sitting near the bus stand when unidentified gunmen opened fire at him and fled. They said that it appeared to be a case of personal enmity and further investigations were underway.
On the same day, 35 year old Rubina, wife of Babar, was found dead in her home in Orangi Town. Police officials said the deceased had hanged to death.
It was revealed that Babar who had been a drug peddler had earlier been shot dead.
Police officials said that they were searching for the victim's relative, Ghulam Mohammad who appeared to have fled following the incident.
Late on Monday, three workers of different political parties were also gunned down.
One Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker, Amir Abbasi was shot dead in Korangi. Police officials said that the deceased was standing near his home when two armed men shot him multiple times and fled.
His body was later moved to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy. SHO Nawaz Gondal said that he was an MQM leader.
In a similar incident, an MQM worker, Qaiser Mukhtar was shot dead in Shah Faisal Colony by at least two armed men, astride a motorcycle.
A worker of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Alam Khan Swati was also shot dead in an instance of target killing in the Bilal Colony area of Quaidabad. His brother, Barin Khan also suffered injuries in the incident.
The brothers were shifted to JPMC where Swati succumbed to his injuries. Police officials said that the brothers were sitting in front of their general store when they were shot.
A case has been registered against the culprits.
