ISLAMABAD: In his detailed written reply to the Supreme Court in a contempt of court case, Imran Khan reiterated that the term “shameful” is not an abusive word and should not be considered as contempt, Express News reported on Tuesday.

The 21-page long reply will be submitted to the apex court today - a day before the second hearing of the case is scheduled.

A press statement by Imran on July 26 triggered the contempt of court controversy when he said that the judiciary was involved in rigging during the May 11 elections. The PTI chief had later said the statement was made in good faith wherein the reference to the judiciary was for the returning officers (ROs) and district returning officers (DROs) belonging to the subordinate judiciary assigned to the election process.

Imran appeared before the court on August 2 in this regard and submitted a brief written reply.

Unimpressed by the reply, the apex court bench adjourned the hearing till August 28 and asked Imran’s counsel to submit a comprehensive response at the next date of the hearing.

If ANP didn't do anything in the last 5 years and according to your erstwhile leader were busy indulging in "Easy loads," why ANP has not been brought to tasks for its alleged corruption, mis-governance and other shenanigans? After all, eradication of corruption is the cornerstone of PTI's manifest and we are yet to witness any accountability or audit of the past KPK Governments. As for being a die hard PML-N, indeed I am and take great pride in it too! As for PML-'s performance in the two previous stints it got, Economic Reforms, Motorways, Gawadar Port, Nuclear Tests, Restoration of Judiciary, Danish Schools, Laptops, Subsidized Housing for the poor are just some of the achievements of PML-N governments of the past and rest assured that Pakistan's path to recovery and stability will also be charted by NS and PML-N.

@Adnan Siddiqi: It contributes to PTI as they are one's who accomplished the mission! Why don't you answer to me what was the ANP government doing about it in the past 5 years. No answer.

PTI has handed over the two power stations to Sarhad Rural Support Program. However, ANP did not do it in the last 5 years. Maybe they were cashing in on the European Peace Project.

I know you are a die hard of PMLN. And I ask you what will the PMLN do in the last 2 times it got in power......No answer.
