IBSF world champion Mohammad Asif will face Shahid Aftab and defending champion Asjad Iqbal will lock horns with Imran Shehzad in the semi-finals of 5th NBP Ranking Snooker Championship today at the NBP Sports Complex.


Asif had little problem in seeing off Mohammad Sajjad 5-2 in arguably the toughest match of the quarter-finals, while Shehzad thrashed Naveen Perwani 5-0.

Meanwhile, Iqbal staged a miraculous recovery after being 4-0 down against Sohail Shehzad, going on to win the next five frames to seal the victory 5-4. Aftab was also involved in a grueling nine-setter but eventually defeated Khurram Agha 5-4.
