This is good decision by the PM, as feed back from HEC about Lagari's performance over the years is not encouraging to give him an other term. He is not suitable for a higher position in Pakistan
I agreed with usman awan, these posts should advertise in news paper so every one can apply.after interview one should come on merit rather than likes and dislikes.
If extension has not to be given then all process should be done by advertisement rather than any nomination. HEC ordinance permits Prime Minister to appoint HEC chairman by nomination but I suggest PML-N Government to go for advertisement of this key position.
So, is Dr. Adil Najam from LUMS going to be the next HEC Chairman. But I heard he had already refused?
A good decision, infect no extension should be given for any prime job as this is taking away the rights of the next coming person to that status and snubbing the ability of in line promotions for just one resourceful greedy person. Nobody is indispensable and if chances are given to new persons they may be able to handle the job in a better way than the predecessor.
