Illegal trade: 450kg expired meat recovered

The bus driver and the conductor are arrested.

ARIFWALA: Patrolling police on Thursday recovered 450 kilograms of meat of dead animals from a bus headed for Lahore. The bus driver and the conductor were arrested. Police said they were tipped about a bus transporting expired meat that was being supplied to several meat shops.  Police said they had checked several buses and finally found the meat in one on its way from Vehari. It was stopped near Chak 34/EB. The driver was identified as Naseer Ahmad and the conductor as Murad Ali. They were sent to Saddar police station. The meat was confiscated.
