Judo: Razzaq, Hussain to represent Pakistan

The two-member Pakistan squad will begin their campaign at the International Judo Federation (IJF) World Championship on August 29 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.


The Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) will field Muhammad Razzaq in the +100kg event and Tokyo-based Shah Hussain in the -100kg competition. PJF will be pinning their hopes on Hussain who finished fifth in the World Judo Grand Prix in China last year.

Meanwhile, PJF President Rana Shujaat Ali and Secretary Masood Ahmed will represent Pakistan in the IJF Congress tomorrow. The officials left for Brazil yesterday, while the two athletes will join them for the World Championship on August 25.
