ISLAMABAD: Director General SA and SAARC called on to the Indian Deputy High Commissioner to the Pakistan Foreign Office in Islamabad on Wednesday to protest against recent alleged cross border firing, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

A protest was lodged over the unprovoked firing by Indian army soldiers last night in the Shaqma sector, Kargil, that resulted in the death of a Pakistan Army captain and injury to another soldier.

The FO conveyed its serious concerns on the continued violations of the ceasefire across the LoC by the Indian Army over the past few weeks and the escalation of tensions, which were counterproductive and detrimental for stability and peace in the region.

The statement from the FO said that while Pakistan was committed to a constructive, sustained and result-oriented process of engagement, India should take serious and credible measures to prevent further ceasefire violations and reduce tensions.

The cease fire breach is the latest in a spate of recent cross-border skirmishes between the two nuclear-armed neighbours who have fought three wars since independence from the British rule in 1947, two over the Muslim-majority region of Kashmir.

The two sides agreed to a ceasefire along the LoC in November 2003, but skirmishes have flared across the heavily-militarised Line of Control (LoC), the de facto border in Kashmir, in recent weeks, with both sides blaming each other for having violated the agreement.

@Kamil: Your comment: @Noor: Yous is the only country on earth where a chief minister actually organizes and leads massacre of thosands of unarmed children, women and men and you people vie to make him prime minister of your country. First look at your selves then taunt others.

This is exactly the reason that Pakistan will never improve. They may pretend for some time but no one believes them as everyone sees lack of sincerity. Pakistanis will go on commenting on Modi not because they love muslims of India or care for any muslim from any other part of the world. They kill siias & hazaras by the scores regularly and have also expanded it to Ismailis now. The Prime Minister's brother and Chief Minister of Pakistan says without any shame that Talibans and his party have the same thinking. The educated Imran Khan makes regular calls in support of the talibans. Only when pushed to the corner he comes out and names talibans for their killings of shias. Shabaz Sharif has not yet done it.

Now the same talibans want to kidnap the chief minister and his family members and are also killing the party members of PTI. Yet Pakistanis will keep lying that Modi organized killing of muslims in India.

Do any of the Pakistanis care for any muslim of India. They regularly call muslims of India illiterate, poor, living in slums, unemployed, and all such. They have killed millions of Bangladeshi muslims. They use such derogatory terms for Afghan refugees in Pakistan and are silent when Muslims are killed in Sri Lanka or Myanmar because they fear China. Which country today is leading in the killing of muslims in this region? It is none other than Islamic Republic of Pakistan? What exactly do you care for muslims? Pakistani muslims are the biggest pretenders and they are the ones who cheat muslims in Pakistan and elsewhere also. One day they will blame India, then Afghanistan, then Bangladesh (when Bangladesh outlaws some religious parties). Then they will go on to blame Saudis, Arabs and Iranians also, all in the same breath. Pakistanis have not realized that not one muslim country, yes, Not one muslim country in the world, trusts Pakistanis today.
