LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge has sought comments from the Sherakot SHO by August 26 on a petition seeking a case against two men for allegedly throwing acid at the petitioner’s face. Muhammad Shehzad submitted that he was asleep at home on the night of August 15 when Fayyaz and his son Sarfaraz sneaked into the house at around 2am and threw acid on his face. Shehzad said that most of his face had been burnt by the acid. Hearing his screams, family members woke up and rushed to help him, he said. Fayyaz and Sarfaraz pulled out guns and fled the house, locking the main door from the outside. The petitioner said that he had helped Fayyaz’s daughter marry his cousin against the wishes of her father and that was the motive for the attack. He said that he had approached the SHO to lodge a complaint, but he did not register a case. He asked the court to direct the SHO to register a case against Fayyaz and Sarfaraz.
