Army reshuffle: Nasir Janjua made southern commander

Major reshuffle is expected within the army ahead of Kayani’s retirement in November this year.

In the latest reshuffle within the army ahead of retirement of Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Lt General Nasir Khan Janjua has been appointed as Commander Southern Command, Quetta.


General Januja, who is presently President National Defense University Islamabad, will replace Lt General Alam Khattak, who is set to retire next month. The recently promoted Lt General Javed Iqbal has been appointed President NDU, said military sources.

According to sources, major reshuffle is expected within the army ahead of Kayani’s retirement in November this year.
