PESHAWAR:

A monitoring room has been set up at the Peshawar High Court (PHC) for the by-polls being held in nine constituencies of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Five National Assembly and four provincial assembly seats are being re-contested.

Sofia Waqar Khattak, the personal secretary of PHC Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, will be supervising reports and coordinating with all returning officers to avoid any problems before and during Election Day scheduled for August 22.

The returning officers of all nine constituencies can also correspond with the monitoring room to ensure polling occurs smoothly and transparently. This will also allow addressing problems faced by the staff promptly.

The by-polls in K-P will be held in NA-1 Peshawar, NA-5 Nowshera, NA-13 Swabi, NA-25 DI Khan, NA-27 Lakki Marwat, PK-23 and PK-27 Mardan, PK-42 Hangu and PK-70 Bannu.
