Choked Sewers: WASA assistant director suspended

Assistant Director Operation, WASA has been suspended on charge of delinquency and negligence.

FAISALABAD: Assistant Director Operation, Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) have been suspended on charge of delinquency and negligence. A spokesman for Wasa said on Saturday that managing director Syed Zahid Aziz had directed assistant director operations Madina Town, Arshad Ali, to ensure desilting of sewer lines in the area of Municipal Degree College, Commerce College and Amin Town before the rainy season but failed to comply with the orders due to which the areas were facing problems. Taking serious notice of the delinquency and negligence, the managing director immediately suspended assistant director operation and ordered an inquiry against him, the spokesman added.
