At least 20 suspects were arrested by political administration officials in a search operation launched in Mullagori area of Jamrud subdivision, Khyber Agency on Friday.
The search operation was conducted after a government official was gunned down on the outskirts of Peshawar and the alleged assailant, Mujahid Mullagori escaped to Mullagori area.
Asmatulah Wazir, an official of the political administration said that levies officials along with Khasadars raided the house of Mujahid and arrested his brothers Kashif and Wahid along with his uncles Diyar and Janas and shifted them to Tehsil Jamrud Jail. Sixteen other suspects were also held in the search operation and put behind bars for further investigations.
