The demonstrations were mostly organised by Islamic political parties including Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), which has ideological links to the Brotherhood.
In Karachi, more than 500 JI activists marched with banners and placards chanting anti-US slogans as well as support for Morsi.
US President Barack Obama has cancelled a joint US-Egyptian military exercise but has stopped short of suspending Washington's annual $1.3 billion in aid to Egypt.
"International powers are behind the Egyptian chaos and General Sisi is a tout of America and the favourite of Israel as well," said Mohammad Hussain Mahnati, a local JI local leader.
General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the army chief, orchestrated the July 3 ousting of Egypt's first elected president after millions protested to demand an end to his turbulent year in power.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a total of more than 1,000 JI activists held rallies in four cities, including the main city Peshawar.
The lower house of parliament and foreign ministry on Thursday expressed dismay and deep concern over the use of force "against unarmed civilians" and urged all sides to show restraint.
Another protest rally has been planned later in Lahore.
Friday saw fresh clashes between security forces and Morsi supporters in Egypt, two days after nearly 600 people were killed when police cleared two Morsi protest camps in the country's bloodiest day in decades.

@aq: I know they're Muslims on both sides. But that doesn't justify anything. No one should be killed unjustly by ANYONE.
Nothing new here or in Egypt. The army is the real power and could not tolerate an elected govt for more than a year. More Muslims are being killed by their own army than ever killed by the so-called enemies like Israel. It is all fine and dandy as long as Muslim armies are killing their Muslim civilians. However, we are outraged when a non-Muslim kills even one or two.
Brother who is killing so called good muslims I guess not so good muslims. Any way they are muslims on both sides. Saudia is helping Egypt military.@عرل:
Why don’t these JI support the prosecution of JI guys for massacre in Bangladesh?
Yeah - those nasty Israeli's backed by the American's organized over a million Egyptians to take to the streets and protest against Morsi - the guy who declared himself Pharaoh, didn't deliver on any of his election promises, appointed incompetent Islamic cronies, and otherwise did a terrible job as leader of Egypt. Further - if the American's are behind all this why were they the first to speak out against the violence, stop delivery of fighter planes, cancel scheduled joint military operations, and threaten to cut off all aid if elections aren't rescheduled? Anti American blather is popular in Pakistan but often goes to great lengths to avoid using common sense or anecdotal/objective evidence.
Whats happened to the muslim world from pakistan to.afghanistan, iraq to egypt to syria? Does anyone know how many muslims are killed on daily basis?
@aq Shive sena and rss should also be banned.
Some obnoxiously selfish commenters here. Muslims are being unjustly killed and we should shut our mouths and sit like fools cuz they never protested for us.
"please remind me a single protest for pakistan’s kashmir stance during last 1000 yrs in any of these countries"
What a disappointing attitude and unbecoming approach, sir! If others fail in their duties and their obligations, must we all? On the day of judgement, let me remind all brothers and sisters, everyone will be judged for his or her actions alone. Or, has it become so important to be a Pakistani now that the sufferings of Muslims elsewhere matter little? Shame on such nationalism.
the massacre is deserves to be condemned in the strongest possible terms. however the Muslim ummah represented by JI and others is blind to the plight of Muslims getting massacred in Pakistan,Iraq, and Lebanon everyday by Muslims themselves.
To be precise what international powers are, they are USA, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
JI have never protested when ahmadis and other minorities are butchered by by their friends Taliban. JI should be banned in Pakistan as is donein Bangladesh. JI jehad is just fasaad.
When will these brothers of Muslims from around the world who are so heartbroken, will protest about the thousands killed right here in their own homeland?
J.I. should be banned ,it is also branch of muslim brotherhood..not a single protest held in Egypt for pakistan or Kashmir..the way the Egyptian treats pakistani in middle east
Why no political party in Pakistan protests against the army for not able to protect the lives of ordinary citizens who are being massacred by TTP in thousands for the past six years ??
please remind me a single protest for pakistan's kashmir stance during last 1000 yrs in any of these countries
Meanwhile in Egypt, MB's 'peaceful' protesters are firing indiscriminately at the army, killing policemen, burning gov't building and fire trucks, and lynching Copts and burning their churches.
