NOWSHERA: Three people were killed and a minor severely injured over a family dispute in Azza Khel, Nowshera on Wednesday.

According to police official Badan Khan, a resident of Azza Khel Talat Naz told the police the accused, Shah Khalid, Shagufta Naz, Mir Zaman, Muhammad Ibrahim and Noor Zaman barged inside their house at around 1am and opened fire at them.

As a result, Naz’s father, mother and sister were killed on the spot while her nephew Abu Bakar was severely injured. The deceased were identified as Inamullah Zahid, Shehnaz Begum and Maryam Zahid.

Talat said her sister Maryam was married to Noor Zaman’s brother Haroon. Due to a family dispute, however, Maryam was living at her father’s house. On Wednesday, Haroon had come to settle the dispute, but since Maryam was not happy with her in-laws she told Haroon to find separate accommodation for the couple. He, however, refused and killed Maryam along with her parents.

The police filed a case and raided the house of the accused, but they managed to escape before the police arrived.
