Promoting talent: Music contest for young singers held

The winners received cash awards and other prizes.

MULTAN: The Organisation for Development and Peace (ODP), in collaboration with the USAID, organised a music competition to encourage talent in the south Punjab. Several singers from Multan, Vehari, Khanewal and Lodhran participated in the event. ODP Director Ayub Sajid said that the ODP was working to promote peace, human rights, democracy, minorities’ and women’s rights. He stressed the need to encourage the youth to participate in constructive and creative activities. Singers Rahat Multanikar, Naeemul Hassan Babloo and Qaisar Naqvi were judges at the competition. The winners received cash awards and other prizes.
