The security forces began conducting targeted operations in Kulachi, Kot Doulat, Sultan, Loi and Garmastanand Madi areas after the deal was called off. Several suspects were also apprehended during the operations.
Three years ago, the government had signed a peace pact with the tribesmen of Kulachi that the locals will not be against the government and will not support anti-state elements. The locals also said that they would not let their land be used by militants.
However, according to one official who is a part of the DI Khan jail break investigation team, it was revealed that the militants used Kulachi and its outskirts for their movement during the attack on the jail.
Considering the act in violation of the pact, the government struck the deal off today.
Earlier during the day, the security forces also conducted an operation in DI Khan, recovering weapons and a suicide jacket.

PTI haters are on their lowest. They can never stop whining no matter how much Imran proves himself a man of intellect-one who is respected all over the world. But these headless pakistanis... Alas!
First of all, good job security forces --- some raids have already yielded some great intelligence, arrest and seizure of munitions. Secondly, PTI only supports talks with militants under very specific condition, such as them giving up arms... short of that, we must attack them and destroy them!!!
