Ibn-e-Qasim Park and Clifton Fun Land will reportedly stay closed till the Eid holidays are over. A banner was placed outside Ibn-e-Qasim Park by the SHO of the area stating the closure was due to security reasons.
While speaking to Express News, Director Parks of Karachi, Abdul Rasheed said he was looking for an explanation from the police as he had not instructed the closure and was completely unaware of the situation.
Families with children will have to make alternate plans as these parks were closed unexpectedly.
One opened
Beachview Park was also found closed earlier today. However, it was opened for the public later after the news went on air.

The Police is unable to apprehend the militants and terrorists on individual basis, therefore, it has no other alternate except to stop people going to the parks and other places where families can get together during Eid holidays.
When Police cannot stop militants and terrorists who are in minority, it has stopped the majority - the tax payers/citizens.
One never know that Police may also stop people towards going to the eating places like fast food restaurants and hotels, as these may also become a potential risk for the people in Karachi.
