The bodies of 14 out of a total of 30 kidnapped passengers were found from the mountains near Machh in Bolan district on Aug 6.
A militant attack on an oil tanker in the same area lead to a cross fire between the militants and the Balochistan Levies, Frontier Corps (FC) which kept security forces busy.
Militants then stopped two Punjab-bound passenger buses and took away 14 labourers.
During the combat, one FC officer lost his life while two others were injured.
The Frontier Corps (FC), the security force deployed in the province, has been struggling to maintain peace in unstable areas particularly those affected by ethnic and sectarian violence.

Great work........!! Salute to you guys......... !! hit them and hit them hard.....!
Congrets ! When are you planning to deal with NW ? As there are not few, but thousands of them, incidentally created by yourselves and still to this day sheltered, protected and armed by your own institutions who classed them as your assets ! While they continue to cause mayhem on your own streets and markets daily ! The only suckers here are the people, while the state and its institutions will continue this cosmetic charade to convince its people that they are dealing with the crises ! Rest assure this is no longer a crises, but has actually become a threat to Nationhood.
Again I would like to express that security officials wear a totally unprofessional uniform in balochistan. Shalwar kameez can not be the uniform for a combat force. They should immediately change to a standard trouser-shirt uniform as is the case for all combat force officials all over the world and also in other parts of pakistan.
Very quick to operate against Baluchis but not against Taliban. If the excuse is that some civilians were killed in Baluchistan then Taliban have not only killed thousands of civilians but numerous military personnel as well. No action there. What does this prove? Seems like any excuse to kill non-Punjabis but never those who have sympathies from Punjabis like Taliban, who are merely told to go do their terrorism somewhere else (read: in other provinces). Seems like a plan of Punjab domination over rest of provinces, by hook or crook.
@Umer "When is there going to be an operation in North Wazirastan?" May be in Wazirastan "freedom fighters" are fighting , not the militants. So your question is not worth.
Well done & keep it going till last terrorist is wiped out.
Hats off for the security forces!! May be we can see greater number of militants killed in the future operations. INSHALLAH!!
When is there going to be an operation in North Wazirastan?
Pakistani Security forces always kills innocent people and prove them alleged criminals, It has never been investigated through any impartial officers or any judicial authority . That is why each single citizen has negative comments about their efficiency, they are nothing but crooked.
Relentless & ruthless is the answer.
Just 6? Wipe them out in hundreds. These are the enemies of humanity. We've to be very clear and decisive on this. You just can't let people like Balach Marri and Shahzain Bugti (caught red handed with truckload of explosives) roam free just because they belong to political families. Put them behind bars for good 20-30 years. Govt needs to do legislation on that so that such terrorists can be kept behind bars without interference from hazrat Chief Justice Sahib.
Levies personnel look like Darth vader's team.
