Fruit and vegetable research: UAF signs agreement with PFVA

The UAF would share its research on value addition for various fruits and vegetables, says Dr Khan.

FAISALABAD: The All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchant Association and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Tuesday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for collaboration in research and development and sharing of information. The MoU was signed by UAF Vice Chancellor Iqrar Ahmad Khan and All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchant Association Chairman Waheed Ahmed. Dr Khan said that the University of Agriculture Faisalabad would share its research on value addition for various fruits and vegetables. The university would also conduct training workshops and awareness programmes for All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchant Association farmers and exporters. He said that the All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchant Association would help UAF graduates in obtaining internships with leading exporters so that they can acquire practical knowledge. The All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchant Association will also help the UAF project its research, said Dr Khan.
