As many as 25 candidates would be interviewed for the post of examination controller by the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) across the Punjab. The interviews are likely to be conducted shortly after Eid. Sources in the BISE said that the interviews would be conducted by the BISE search committee.
The three-member committee will be headed by the provincial additional chief secretary.
It includes the higher education secretary, the schools secretary and a third member, not an official of the Education Department. The post has been vacant for a week after former controller of examination Muhammad Akbar completed his tenure on July 31.
Akbar had served in the position for twice for four years.
