Vigorous checks: Governor inspects FATA line departments

During the second monthly inspection of line departments in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), K-P Governor Shaukatullah Khan said efforts need to continue at the grass root level to ensure positive results.


Presiding over a high-level meeting to review findings of the inspection reports of health, irrigation and livestock departments at the Governor House, Shaukatullah took particular interest in the spread of Tuberculosis (TB), HIV, malaria and hepatitis. He then sought complete records of all diseases from the respective department at the earliest.

The governor said they have not only installed state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for TB patients, paramedics are also being trained in this regard. On another point, he assured to continue updating and refurbishing healthcare units and hospitals in Fata.
