Quraish Pur was an Urdu writer and novelist, columnist, scholar and media expert from Pakistan.
He hosted the famous TV program Kasauti, along with Obaidullah Baig in the 1970s.
Famous for his knowledge and wisdom, he was very well known in Pakistan.

Sadly we are running out of independent thinking intellectuals like him in our society. All that you see coming up in fresh blood these days is religious bigotry, emotional manipulation, and sectarian propaganda wrapped in "marathon transmissions". His death marks the end of an era.
He was one of the most brilliant person's in Pakistan.
I have watched his programmes Kasuti on PTV while he use to be the compere and Late Obaidullah Baig and Iftikar Arif used to be the guests to answer the questions.
Among the three, only Iftikar Arif is alive now.
May Al-Mighty Allah rest his soul in peace.
