According to a BISE press release, in the overall science group, Abbas Iqbal, a student of the Swat Cadet College topped the board exams by securing 962 out of the total of 1,100 marks. Government Degree College Mingora’s Asadullah came in second by obtaining 955 marks, while Muhammad Faraz Khan of the same college was third with 953 points.
In the overall humanities group, Nisar Ahmad a private candidate grabbed first position by obtaining 882 marks, Amir Sohail of the Government Higher Secondary School Agarai Buner came in second by securing 867 points, while Mayra Habib of the Government Degree College Khwazakhela secured third position by securing 830 marks.
A total of 15,710 students appeared in the Intermediate Part-I examination, out of which 11,194 succeeded in scoring passing marks.
A total of 15,963 students appeared this year for Intermediate Part-II, out of which 12,101 students passed.
The BISE press release declared 76% of the students who sat for exams passed. It further added, the top three position holders in all groups were awarded cash prizes of Rs50,000, Rs45,000 and Rs40,000 respectively.
