Funeral: Slain Shia leader, son laid to rest

BAHAWALPUR: Shia Ulema Council’s divisional president Sheikh Manzoor Hussain and his son were buried on Saturday. The funeral prayers were held at Railway Chowk. Scholars from across the province attended the final rites of the slain leader. Quaid-i-Millat Tehreek Jafria Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi led the funeral prayers. Addressing the crowd, he called for religious harmony. “Terrorists are roaming free across the country,” he said. “Convicted murderers on death row manage to order target killings from prisons.” He criticised the government for failing to protect citizens.
