Water theft: Irrigation Dept unhappy with police

Operation XEN of the Irrigation Department Ehsan Khan said on Saturday the department had sent 2,662 water theft complaints to the police in 3 months but only 11 cases had been registered. He said the Multan division had referred 469 complaints to the police but no case had been registered; Shujabad division had submitted 98 complaints and no case was registered; Tarimmu division lodged 233 complaints and the police registered only two cases; Sulemanki division had referred 425 but not a single case was registered.
