Sc Bar Elections: Kanrani wins nomination from Quetta

Kanrani has been nominated as the presidential candidate by Quetta lawyers for the Sc Bar Elections.

QUETTA: Former Advocate General Balochistan Amanullah Kanrani has been nominated as the presidential candidate by Quetta lawyers for the Supreme Court bar elections. Lawyers said that they were confident that in October 2013 the SC bar presidency will come to Balochistan and that they have started campaigning across the country for Kanrani. In next SC bar elections Mir Amanullah Kanrani would be our presidential candidate, whereas Jahanzaib Jadoon would contest for senior vice president’s slot, a spokesman for the Quetta lawyers said. They also lamented that even after the historic lawyers’ movement, the judiciary had failed to address human rights concerns.
