Put in to bat first, SBP amassed 160 for six. Naveed Malik scored 47 off 25 deliveries, an innings that included three sixes and five boundaries. Adnan Raees’ late assault of 42 ensured SBP finished with a respectable total on the board.
In reply, NBP were bundled out for a paltry 90 in 14.3 overs with Mahmood and left-arm pacer Usman Shinwari, who claimed the prized scalps of Nasir Jamshed and Sohaib Maqsood, doing the damage.
In another match, Port Qasim thrashed CandyLand by eight wickets. Abdur Rauf, Azam Hussain and Tanveer Ahmed took three wickets apiece.
Batting first, CandyLand were bowled out for 102 as Imran Nazir scored a run-a-ball 31. In reply, PQA comfortably chased down the target in 11.2 overs for the loss of just two wickets with Khurram Manzoor scoring a 37-ball 50.
