The PTI Chairman has been summoned before a three-member judge bench of the apex court on Friday. The hearing will be presided over by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Imran Khan had criticised the Supreme Court and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for failing to address rigging allegations of the general elections.
PTI officials said that if Imran Khan was charged by the apex court then he could face disqualification as a member of the Parliament.
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has been directed to produce before the court a record of Imran Khan's press conference.
The Supreme Court also issued a notice to Attorney General of Pakistan to come up with relevant records related to Imran Khan's press conference.
PTI leader Justice Wajihuddin Ahmed said that Imran Khan had not criticised the judiciary but the Returning Officers.

It is so sad, the two political parties (MQM and PTI) could have joined forces to pull Pakistan out of this mess, but they both fell pretty to the agencies game. Shame on Imran Khan and Altaf Hussain, I now trust nobody in Pakistan.

When this SC was ordering unconstitutionally to redraw Karachi's constituencies before general elections to change the mandate of MQM you supported that unlawful and biased decision. And your support at that time gave strength to SC. Now with greater strength SC is agaisnt you, go and face the music. PTI should remove "INSAAF" from its name, because PTI had been supporting extra judicial decisions against MQM and PPP.
The notorious three Member Bench must immediately resign and save the sanctity of the Judiciary. We don't need judicial dictators! Enough is Enough!
I have two favorite personality Imran and Iftikhar.But if a conflict happens between them,then big yes to Imran and big No to CJ! Imran stance is pragmatic and he will not say sorry to show the for justice he can sacrifice anything!

IK is not alone, people of a Pakistan who eye witnessed rigging by ROs and whose votes for change were changed by votes for Status Quo are also party to this issue.

Our judiciary is independent. Imran Khan should not disrespect the judiciary and respect the verdict of the court. Personally I found his remarks pointing towards the judiciary. In my opinion our respected Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry must disqualify him.

60 off 90 days (in which Imran was going to put things right) in the office, KPK have gone from bad to worse and there is no sign of arresting the decline. Imran gathered all the lotas around him who are doing what they do best - ill advising. He had such a great opportunity to make KPK look better than the other provinces and hence lay claim on the PM position in the next election. All is not lost if only he starts listening to himself and getting rid of the lotas around him. I wish him success, not hopeful though.
People keep quiet when injustice happen to someone else thinking it will not happen to them and thats a big mistake. If people had spoken when injustice happened to PPP and Musharraf and Tahir ul Qadri, this would not happened to Imran. Now its too late.

In all honesty what is the Supreme Court of Pakistan doing ? Pakistan's judicial system has already played a very negative role by releasing terrorist leaders from extremists groups like Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ). Extremely pathetic that our Supreme Court will call on hearings on trivial matters like possession of alcohol from a television actress but will fail to even give even one inch of importance when Pakistani people are dying from terrorist attacks all over the country. With regards to election rigging, there are even audio and visual evidence of it taking place but as usual the mighty Supreme Court of Pakistan turns to blind eye towards all important things. I have zero respect for courts that are actually facilitating terrorism and corruption in the country.
Imran Khan behaves like an obstinate child who always " KHELAN KO MANGEY CHAND". Hurling threats and scathy criticism on every opponent does no suit a politician. So IK should learn to behave like a mature politician. SC's contempt notice is a right move. No one is above the law. If PPP's Prime ministers and Altaf Bhai can be served contempt notices, why not Imran Khan. No one is above the law.
IK should not criticize the PCO judges instead he should invade the SC while in session following the successful traditions of PML-N. Also PTI and PPP should accept monies and favors to steal the elections with the help of ISI like MPL-N did and got away without any action by the SC. There is no such thing as contempt of court in the western democratic world. Ordinary people are free to express their opinion as freedom of speech. The only time contempt is applicable is when a court is in session and somebody misbehaves during session despite warnings by the judge. Only PCO SC can use Suo Motu and contempt of court as a tool against free speech. The SC has all the time for made up cases but not against terrorist incidents, brutal killings of hundreds of Shia, the continued failure of intelligence agencies, peace in Baluchistan and Karachi, to name a few. The SC has no time to answer the questions that President had sent him couple of years ago about the judicial murder of ZAB. To answer president’s questions is the legal responsibility of SC. Last but not the least all opposition parties especially those from the smaller provinces must oppose an extension for PCO CJ.

As a ppp supporter I have mixed feelings, i am amazed at the audacity of CJP but we r pretty used to it by now, and I think pti supporters should acknowledge that no matter how much you hate zardari the way he faced the issues of this country was brilliant, he inherited an over active judiciary, terrorism and still he managed to guide the country to a peaceful transition, i still believe corruption could have been dealt in a better way but kudos Mr. Zardari

PTI has petitioned in the ocurt and and court is not hearing those petitions and on the other hand N league's petitions are not only heard next day but decisions are given without hearing the opposite party!!!!!
