RAWALPINDI:

A woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her brother and sister-in-law at their friend’s house in the Civil Lines area on Sunday.

Shabbir Ahmed lodged a complaint with the local police that Shoaib, his wife Gulnaz and sister Shabana came to visit him at his home.

As Shabbir had to travel to his native village to bring his family back, he left his visitors at home.

When he came back, he found his house locked. He attempted to contact Shoaib, whose cellphone was switched off.

With the help of his neighbour, Shabbir broke the door open and entered the house.

He found Shoaib’s sister dead in one of the rooms with two daggers lying near her.

He said he suspected that she might have been killed by Shoaib and his wife, who left  the body lying in his house and fled to deflect the blame.

The police have registered a blind murder case and initiated an investigation.
