LAHORE: Dr Fehmida Hameed, a former special assistant to the Punjab chief minister was killed by her servant in Islampura on Monday. Police said Hameed, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president of the women wing, was alone at home when she was killed. Her son, Hafiz Ahmad found the body. Initial reports indicated that she had suffered fatal injuries to the head. Police suspect that a servant, who has gone missing, attacked her with a metal rod on being told off. Ahmad told the police that the servant had been sacked several times in the past but he was rehired after he apologised. Officials said Tahir, the servant, was a drug addict. However, police said Tahir was not the only suspect. They said the deceased had had property disputes with some family members.
