Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has warned ‘black sheep’ to mend their ways otherwise they would be transferred to far-flung areas.
Addressing a public gathering on his arrival at his hometown after taking over the oath of his office, he said the PML-N government was committed to ending load-shedding and for this purpose a crackdown has already been started against the power pilferers.
He added that he had identified the ‘black sheep’ in various power distribution companies and those would not be spared. “We have identified six major black sheep of Sukkur Electric Supply Company and they have already been transferred to Balochistan,” he said.
Sher Ali said he would have a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah over this issue and request him to initiate a crackdown against power pilferers of this province. He said he would also provide the chief minister a list of power pilferers for proceeding against them.
