While talking to the media on Thursday evening in Karachi, Dar pointed out that his party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), never acted like this in five years of PPP's rule, despite having opportunities aplenty. He termed it "democratic respect" on the part of PML-N to always prioritise democracy over party interests.
The Finance Minister said that presidential elections did not even have to involve public rallying. If anyone is boycotting the elections simply because the ruling party is numerically stronger, than they are not setting the right democratic tradition at all.
Speaking to the media after the PML-N delegation he was with, met with Zafar Iqbal Jhagra in Karachi, Dar said that the PML-N enjoyed numerical superiority in the assemblies and was confident that their candidate, Mamnoon Hussain, would win the July 30 elections.

Is bringing forth a decided deadline for presedential elections by judiciary upon one request of govt democratic?
PPP is set to support PTI candidate but it can't say it publicly just it did in parliamentary elections. This will become obvious in few days..
With around 30 seats in NA and the same in all PAs combined, what difference would PPP boycott mean
Huh? Get a life dude!!
And Going to the court for everything, and claiming in the court that parliament is useless is not against democracy?
No Mr Dar! Running off to Supreme Court and involving it in every matter political is against democracy. PMLN and Supreme Court have made it a matter of enslavement or death for other parties in a very short time in power. So PPP is not only right but even PTI has acknowledged the bias of the Court.
Dude you need to take care of economy !! Which is your job and you are getting paid for that !! Zardari is enough for PPP to break it!!
1- Selection of PM despite serious charges (money laundering, corruption, nepotism, attacking SC ETC) is in the interest of democracy
2- Handing over the treasury of the whole country to a close relative is for democracy
3- Appointment of a brother as CM-Punjab is for the welfare of poor and high democratic standards
Punjabi politicians, generals and judges are deciding everything on their own without even a consultation from other provinces and then blame non-Punjabis of being democratic.
Never thought PML(N) would go beg MQM for votes. I just curse the day I voted for you people, Mr. Dar. Such an irony!
Getting the SC to prepone the election is democracy but boycotting is not. lol.
A rare case of Dar showing a bit of spine .
Otherwise , he is totally spineless and have into everything Raza Rabbani was proposing during 18th amendment negotiations, including no federal health ministry , no national curriculum , etc.
