Matric Exams Results: Girls outshine boys again

As many as 133,277 students sat the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations in the Faisalabad board in March-April this year.  Of these, 89,409 got through.


Aeman Ateeq of the Dar-i-Arqam Grills High School in Peoples Colony came first with 1,019 marks out of 1,050. Hajira Bibi of the Divisional Public School came second with 1,018 marks.

The third position was a tie among three students at 1,017 marks each. They are: Maria Noor Shahid of the Divisional Public School, Areeha Fatima, also from the DPS and Nimra Ahmad of the Dar-i-Arqam Girls High School in Peoples’ Colony.

In science group (girls), Aeman Ateeq came first, Hajira Bibi second and Maria Noor Shahid, Areeha Fatima and Nimra Ahmad third.

In science group (boys), Muhammad Hassan Wajid of the AW Grammar Boys High School in Jaranwala came first with 1,019 marks. Hamza Islam of the Divisional Public School came second with 1,014 marks. The third position was shared at 1,008 marks each by Muhammad Rehan Iqbal of Hira Public High School and Syed Asif Hussain Shah Bukhari of the Government High School No 2 in Toba Tek Singh.

In humanities group (girls), Fareeha Ameen of the Government Girls High School in 256-GB, Toba Tek Singh, came first with 979 marks, Qurratulain Sheikh of Shari Public Girls High School No1, Faisalabad, came second with 973 marks and Tayyaba Iqbl of the Government Girls High School, Kanak Basti, Faisalabad, came third with 960 marks.

In humanities group (boys), Muhammad Arslan Zaib of the Government Model High School on Eid Gah Road in Toba Tek Singh came first with 933 marks; Bilal Ahmad of Fairy Land Grammar High School, Faisalabad, came second with 909 marks and Muhammad Salman, a private candidate from Faisalabad, came third with 902 marks.

Sargodha board

As many as 76,142 candidates sat the examination from the Sargodha board, of whom 50,276 were declared successful.

Memoona Emaan came first in Sargodha Board with 1,028 of 1,050 marks. Mashkawat Khan came second with 1,015 marks and Arifa Tabassum, Tahira Yasmeen and Qaisul Mulook shared the third position with 1,014 marks each.

MNA Dr Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti distributed medals and prizes among the position holders in a ceremony.

Danish Ali of Nishat Boys High School came first with 1,028 marks, Sohail Ahmed of Muslim Public Higher Secondary School second with 1,024 marks and Muhammad Areeb Khawaja of La Salle Higher Secondary School third with 1,023 marks.
