Taxi drivers case: Court extends physical remand of Rangers personnel till July 27
The remand has been extended for further investigation.

A district and sessions court extended the physical custody remand of the four Rangers personnel- facing charges for the alleged extra-judicial killing of a taxi driver- till July 27, Express News reported on Thursday.
On July 22, the Rangers personnel were remanded in to police custody till July 25, however it has now been extended for further investigation.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on July 20 directed police officials to submit a challan of the case within a week.
Mureed Ali, alias Murad Ali, a 36-year-old taxi driver, was allegedly shot dead by Rangers personnel near his Gulistan-e-Jauhar residence for reportedly not stopping his vehicle after he was signalled to stop. The case regarding the murder of the father of two was registered against the Rangers personnel at the Gulistan-e-Johar police station on the complaint of his widow, Dua.
