Iran is a close neighbour and Pakistan’s exemplary relations with the country will only go further as time passes by, said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Shaukat Ali Yousafzai.

This was said at a meeting with Iranian Consul General Hassan Darwaish; Darwaish had called on Yousafzai at his office in Peshawar on Tuesday. Both leaders exchanged ideas on matters of mutual interests and discussed ways and means for bilateral cooperation in education, health and tourism. Yousafzai said it was in the manifesto of the PTI-led government to maintain a stronger relationship between the two countries. To make local bodies strong and autonomous administratively and financially, powers were being transferred to grassroot levels, said the health minister.
