Culture: Waris Shah’s Urs celebrated

The three-day celebration includes a Punjabi Mushaira competition and a culture show.

NOSHERA VIRKAN: The 215th three-day urs celebration of poet Waris Shah began at Jandiala Sher Khan on Tuesday.  Sheikhupura DCO Ali Jan Khan inaugurated the celebration by washing the shrine and laying a floral wreath on it.  The three-day celebration includes a Punjabi Mushaira (poetry recitation) competition and a culture show.
