The PTI spokesperson said that the party will file a Rs10 billion defamation suit against MQM.
However, the final decision will be taken once Imran comes back to Pakistan from London.
MQM leaders Farooq Sattar and Senator Farogh Naseem personally filed the suit today in the Sindh High Court for MQM Chief Altaf Hussain’s alleged character assassination in the wake of PTI leader Zahra Shahid Hussain’s murder.
Imran had held Hussain responsible for Zahra’s murder and accused him of inciting violence through his public broadcasts.

The base on which PTI is going to sue against MQM is baseless.This type of statement is made everyday in Pakistani politics by one party to another.Those types of statements have also been made and in being given by PTI Leaders. It means MQM should file 2 case.One for damaging Altaf Hussain's reputation and second one for damaging MQM reputation.it sounds better,Isn't it?

If we accept ur logic,then in the whole world a single case of threatning someone will not be decided as the accused will claim it as out of context and not lethal in the local lexicon!! I always had a liking for Imran Khan, but now I feel the way he and his party is acting is cheap, and it gives a feeling that because he is not capable of doing all what he claimed before getting elected, so he is taking involvement in different non progressive topics to divert the public attention for the completion of his promises. People of Pakistan had enough of this crap in the past, they elected Imran for serious and meaningful progress
@Cofcol: That is where you are wrong. Only Mohajirs are MQM supporters and by definition a Mohajir or REFUGEE is a temporary resident seeking refuge during times of stress. When things normalize at home, the refugee (Mohajir) goes back home.

Good, now Mr. Hussain will finally appear in Pakistan, but now the bad news is that Pakistan may just keep him for answering to some criminal cases against him. Will he come to his beloved country and people, will he not come, well, If he does not show up then throw the case out and warn MQM for frivolous law suits because they are waisting the court time and precious little resources. I am sure Mr.Khan will appear before the court and he should. By the way this diversion is not going to help Mr.Hussain because it is the London law enforcement agency which will decide whether to prosecute him for money laundering and PERHAPS for facilitating or abetting a murder.

PTI is a rookie political party. It needs to grow up in short order to start making a difference.
MQM has a basis for filing the suit - Imran Khan's publicly televised unfounded accusation, libel, statement against the complainant. Now unless they plead insanity or injury-related psychosis for Imran Khan, I don't see how they can escape from this.
Now on what basis will PTI file a lawsuit against MQM regardless of what the amount is? What accusation? Most of what MQM has said so far against them has been very politically calculated which is normal for the political arena of Pakistan. The only thing that gets them in some trouble is the violence-inciting speech and that coming from the UK. That is the complaint that PTI made to the British govt. So that case is already in the courts there, and MQM is defending itself saying its use of such vocabulary is ok since it's become the lexicon of Karachi and was not intended to be meant to be taken literaly, rather only politically. For instance in Iran it is quite common for one political party to say death to this candidate or this political party, they don't mean real death they mean defeat.
Last I remember, Imran Khan before the elections, said on a national TV talk show that if push comes to shove, his people also know how to pick up arms and start fighting against other political party members. That can also be taken as an incitement to violence albeit not in the present but in the future. Incitement to violence be it present or future is incitement to violence.
The only disappointing thing about the PTI is its lack of incitement to violence against those who are slaughtering the innocent Pakistani citizens and soldiers, namely the Taliban and its sister organizations. In fact from the onset in KPK, the public-funded helicopter for private family engagement parties using CM said that the Taliban is not our enemy, well if they are not your enemy and they are killing your people, I guess they are your friend. With Imran Khan cozing it up with the British Royals over a glass of who knows what in the month of Ramadhan al Mubarak, and then having the time of his life with a famous porn model of Australia, makes it seem like both he and they are on the same page with regards to the Taliban. Furthermore, the saying the Shaitan runs away in the month of Ramadhan seems ironic because someone also ran away to the UK under the guise of medical tests from his own organized APC from KPK and Pakistan when the holy month began this year! I am sure he must have announced his arrival there by saying "Hey Guys, I'm BACK" !!!
Legally how can Sattar file a suit on behalf of Altaf, he has no standing. Altaf has to file it himself,

PML-N has reiterated on many occasion that PTI has not declared all its assets. It has fooled the people of Pakistan by showing that it is a clean and holy party of angels. From where has this Rs. 10 billion come from. Money laundered by PTI supporters from UK, USA and Canada or from (undisclosed} PTI Secret Fund.

Imran Khan should grow up and shouldn't have accused MQM of Zahra Hussain's murder. Without any proof. You DO NOT make such allegations in the political arena without any proof, and even if you have proof, you take it to the courts, not the media. These issues are sensitive. Jo log kehtay hay Immy Bhai ko bhi chance do; pehlay immi Bhai ko politics ki alif bay to sikha do phir chance dena tha.

Since all issues in KP (PTI) and Karachi (MQM) have been resolved, doodh aur shehad ki nehrien beh rahi hein, people are living happy and prosperous life, no loadshedding, no job less, no crimes, etc. hence to keep themselves busy PTI & MQM are playing Tit for Tat in high court which was sitting idle since the millions of pending cases have been resolved. Khan is as focoused on people as is Bhai.

The basic issue here is that MQM can't see Karachi slipping into PTI's hands as that will be an endgame for it. Let's hope these lawsuits and counter suits bring some civility in Pakistani politics and make politicians somewhat more responsible of what they say or tweet.

I am a supporter of PTI but do not appreciate defamation of 10 B. Amount of defamation should be 10 PKR. He does not deserve more than this.
